One of the most famous crime stories in American history.
On 12th June 1994, Nicole Brown Simpson and her pal Ronald Goldman were found stabbed to death at her home in Brentwood, California. Her ex-husband O.J. Simpson was named a person of interest in the murders. On 17th June, he led police on a low-speed pursuit in a white Ford Bronco. About 95 million Americans have viewed the Ford chase unfold on live television. In Los Angeles, the Kardashian family was also glued to the coverage — but their reasons were personal. Robert Kardashian Sr. was Simpson’s best friend. Robert’s children— Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian West, Khloe Kardashian, and Rob Kardashian— would frequently have playdates with Simpson’s kids, Sydney and Justin.
The 62-year-old KarJenner matriarch Kris Jenner was very close to Nicole. Almost 17 months after Nicole’s death, Kris has given to daughter Kendall and offered her the middle name, Nicole. Another person watching the Ford chase: nanny Pam Behan— who has watched the Kardashian children for five years.
She has recalled the aftermath of the murder on this week’s episode of “Scandal Made Me Famous.” Pam has told the show, “The kids used to call him ‘Uncle OJ.’ So now they heard that he might have killed Nicole. This was really shocking to them.” The famous Kardashian clan was most concerned about how Sydney and Justin were coping with the violent death of their mama and their father’s arrest.
Pam has recalled that Justin and Sydney were very close with Khloe and Robert and so shortly after all this happened, she, Khloé, and Robert went down to the Brown family’s house and stayed with them for a few days. The show— hosted by PEOPLE’s Senior Writer Steve Helling— “Scandal Made Me Famous” has combined re-enactments, exclusive interviews and never-before-seen shots and clips to tell the story of infamous crimes.
