109 tattoos with special meaning!
The 32-year-old actress has said that each one of her tattoos holds a special meaning and doesn’t regret any one of them. For her August 2018 cover story, Ruby Rose has told Marie Claire Malaysia, “If you count them individually, then that’s an astronomical amount. But because they are joined together, it becomes a sleeve, or it becomes a back piece.” She has explained that they all have personal meanings or stories — they are there to create a memory; some of them are more meaningful than others, but she loves them all. In January 2016, when Ruby caught by PeopleStyle to talk about her body arts, she has said that she started losing count of the exact number she actually had inked onto her body.
She has told PeopleStyle, “The funny thing about tattoos is that you get one, or two, or three, or four or 10, and when you first get them they’re all separate and separate enough from each other that they can be counted individually.” Ruby has said that she thinks at one point, she had 50 or 60 tattoos, but then they all morphed to become a half sleeve, and then a full sleeve and then she sleeves with half her hand, and then half her back.
The star has called her body “a canvas” and looked at her tattoos as a “timeline of my life from where I’ve been.” She has told Marie Claire Malaysia, “I love things that are comfortable. I love things that are unique. I like mixing vintage with high fashion, and high fashion with street style.” Ruby has explained, “If it looks good and feels good, then I want it. I don’t really follow trends or look into much of what is in trend right now, or what’s going to be hot. I just sort of wish for the best.”
